OC Systems Releases PowerAda for Linux
Fairfax, VA (January 24, 2003)OC Systems, Inc. today announced that version 5.0 of PowerAda, which adds support for Linux/Intel, is now shipping. PowerAda is the leading integrated environment for developing, testing, integrating and maintaining Ada applications.
"Linux is an increasingly important platform for Ada developers," said Oliver Cole, president of OC Systems. "Version 5.0 offers the most powerful and stable version of the PowerAda compiler that has ever been available. Given that applications compiled with PowerAda run up to twice as fast as those using other compilers, any developers who are writing Ada applications on Linux or AIX, or who may need to port to Linux at a future point, would do well to evaluate PowerAda as a possible development environment."
PowerAda is an integrated development environment for developing and compiling applications written in the ISO-standard Ada programming language. The environment contains a compiler, debugger, visual source browser, interface to popular configuration management tools, and other tools to support easy build management. PowerAda version 5.0 continues to support AIX, as well as Linux. The AIX and Linux versions of the software are licensed separately.
